IN THE PAPER ROLL

I opened up a quarter paper roll a little while ago and found this inside...Soda or Beer?
My guess is Beer because the roll was missing a quarter so guessing (s)he needed that
quarter to buy a nice cold Beer....I mean, you wouldn't do that to buy a soda would
you?

I like how you took a obverse and reverse photo of the can tab.

 

It still has mint luster. You could submit it to PCGS and get it slabbed for authenticity.

 

They've slabbed other garbage in the past. I wouldn't be surprised if they slabbed this. Maybe afterwards, he can send it to get a CAC bean

 

A nice touch indeed by SmokinJoe! I'll tell you what though, that is one of the better looking can pull tabs that you'll ever see. A lot of work and ingenuity went into the design of that rascal. I wouldn't hesitate for a moment slapping a $20 price tag on it......and I'm one who gets irked by those ebay gold trollers who put $1000 prices on beat up and tattered zincons. Nice find, SmokinJoe!

Nice strong strike. Original mint luster. I detect maybe some die chip action going on? If I were you I would send that tab off to HSN so they can sell that beauty for 4 easy payments of $99.99.

 

Sweet idea, DatDare. SmokinJoe's thread has me seriously contemplating collecting can pull tabs. If you look at it, it could be constructed to hold either two dimes or two pennies. Maybe have a bunch of them dangling by strings from some sort of coin tree. Are we on to something here? If one of you ends up inventing the next big thing in coin holders out of this, please do the right thing by including SmokinJoe and DatDare for monied royalty purposes.
