    Yes die chips.

    The reason i asked for a photo of the entire coin is sometimes chips are related to a crack and I'm still not certain that they aren't on your coin. The chip on the rear brim of his hat is where I'd expect a crack to begin. His horse's nose would be another one and there is an anomaly there but the photos aren't clear enough to tell. It could just be a stain.
