3 inches is about as close as i can get to take a good picture with my iPhone 6s. I zoomed in on the phone.

The light is not from the iphone but from a diffused flashlight at a 45 degree angle about 3 feet away.

Strike through fabric, metal? The result will be different dependent upon the material.

Looking at your coin it would appear to be a wire due to the depth but ... Image is not clear and lit enough.

if you look to the left of the head, look at the washed out details

notice what looks like disc like cuts into the metal closer to the G. So possibly pushed down more into the surface in this area. And as it goes to the right it rises up even before it gets to the head. The rest is too washed out to really "guess" .. after all you are asking us to speculate on what it is.

The probability of a proper "guess" will rise the greater the detail and clarity.
But I'd probably guess PMD at this point.

I feel when I look at it from side seems like it’s not flush with rest of coin I can’t tell how it is different. Remember I am no expert in fact I wouldn’t even call myself a newbie i Just a person who checks change when I get home and throw any that seem unusual to me in a drawer in the last 6months I have to try to learn more about coins so going through some of these coins. If you look even recently I asked about a coin that now I can tell is PMD so helps me know what to look for by knowing what not to pay attention to so just want to say thanks for taking time to discuss the coins even when it’s a easy PMD case

When a coin is struck through a foreign object. The area only shows a recess in the coins surface. The detail is that of what ever got in the way. When a coin is damaged (after strike) the extra displaced metal has to go somewhere unless it was ground out from the surface. when I am asking about displaced metal. I am asking if there is a raised edge on either side of the areas in question? The metal has to go somewhere.

    for displaced metal, for instance,
in this area mentioned shows the most "damage" and the area in yellow should be flat to the surface around it.
If it is raised, then it is PMD as if it is raised then it wouldn't be that way with the DIE which has a flat surface.

    Ok I think these are much better pics. I feeling LIKE this is looking more like PMD BEF724ED-C767-41F3-99F5-6658AF9E6FC7.jpeg BA5460BC-56D4-44A5-A2AD-C77FD02F9FAB.jpeg 8ADB63B9-BBF1-49EC-B567-EB023BEA6D4C.jpeg 3552F04D-8EDB-4F25-9949-592134628CF6.jpeg A86E6E4F-EE4C-4023-9F61-203ED658816B.jpeg A598DB81-0040-4091-9E12-709094312DB1.jpeg 8D91228F-BA7E-4294-86E6-534422F24F33.jpeg 280578E8-9F88-45DF-AE56-395A2AF5A730.jpeg E212E2E5-B3B2-49A7-B0D8-69367F79A8E3.jpeg B0B320A6-1A36-495C-9321-EA88F38FD032.jpeg

The photos are still too poor to be sure, but I'm leaning towards PMD for this one.

The only thing is doesn’t it kinda look like a die crack on the side with TRUST where it cracked a little below letter and since that big line or is attached the crack that is probably the cause and to my understanding a crack like can only happen at mint I know can have all kinds of damage but a crack like that I thought had to happen durning minting process and the other thing that’s got confused is how I can’t see it from certain angles I also looked at many other damaged coins no matter what angle or light I can still see the damage because there is the metal displaced but with this coin it’s either hard to see or it’s not there the whole piece at top of his head upwards does seem to be different then rest of coin I can not really tell what is difference it doesn’t seem the same, maybe it’s the height of that part
.it really seems is like pushed down further or something but like I said then I look at it again and can’t see the same thing. It definitely weird.

If I can’t get a better picture I was wondering if i was to send it in to grading service to find out for sure yes or no if the coin and let’s say by some chance it was confirmed minting error is that coin even worth it by that type of error ?

without good pictures .. who knows.

i'm thinking it's glue/liquid substance now as it looks like a "layer" of some substance .. so who knows ....
    upload_2020-2-17_14-4-36.png

you're still taking your images the same as before.
I also forgot .. put it on a (a) white sheet of copy paper or a (b) black sheet of construction paper. Nothing else until you get better at images.

I really am trying I tried different at different angles I tried recommended height and that’s what I’m saying I never had so much trouble get a photo of coin it like it’s there but it’s not. Atleast with my untrained eye even without trying to take picture just looking at magnify glass 10x I can’t really tell what it is

Place the 10x loupe in front of the camera on your phone and move the two lenses together until it comes into focus. Get a good light or two, and take a few good shots. Dontnuse digital zoom at all. All you need is the 10x loupe for magnification.

do you have anything over the lens?
    a plastic cover or anything.

We always ask newbie digital camera people (over on a camera forum) if anything is over the lens .. which they normally have cheapo UV lens or something causing all their problems. But with cell phones, normally not.

Take a picture of the whole coin with the top of Lincoln's head at the top of the picture. Here is my 2001 d LMC struck through head in the Original Government Packaging (Mint Set cellophane). Polish_20200213_211744725.jpg
