Thanks ff! You are great at identifying unusual finds! I checked and it sells for a buck or 2 on ebay, maybe my beautifully toned one would fetch $3 ;) :D

    Daaaang. Nice!
I'm a bit ashamed to say that I miss searching quarters. Probably going to start back up here in a week or two. That way I'll be good and started when the new ones come out.

Thanks! Can't really say it's worth it. Only one silver out of the last 5 boxes. But you're right about the new ones.

FF- Although, this one was worth the wait from 2 boxes of halves.

Picked up $400 CWR quarters and $200 CWR dimes this afternoon.
    Quarters gave up a 2017 Panama 25c and a 2019 "W" AMP.
Dimes gave me a 1959P Roosie.

Picked up a box of halves that came in too late Friday for me to stop by. It has an ender, something I haven’t seen in awhile. It could be the only silver or there could be 10, lol. Will open tonight.

Wow, I’ve gotten faster at searching boxes, especially compared to when I first started CRH 3 years ago. I found a total of 3 silvers in this 1 ender box. It could have been better, could have been worse. More boxes coming Thursday & Friday.

You search anything besides silver and 74D DDOs?
All I do is edge search halves. I can finish a box in 15 minutes if I don't have any distractions, like kids who want to join in :p

I think you just answered my question @TexAg.

You guys probably do the same thing I do.... I open the box, look for end'ers, close it, flip it over and check the other side.

I know it's completely random. I wonder what you think your % is of finding silver on the inside of the box when you see end'ers first?

For me; I'd say a good 80 90% chance I'll find silver on the inside of the box when I see end'ers first.

That’s quicker than I FF, but my edge checking usually leads me to searching many coins further. I set aside all NIFC, and sometimes look at every date for, yes, 1974-D DDO, 1972-D & 1982-P No FG. I upgrade my NIFC duplicates with better if I find one. Prolly takes me around 45 minutes per box.

Here on the East Coast, I've pretty much given up on finding a 74D or 72D DDO. I figure it's not wort the time spent to pull them and search each coin. I pull coins that have nice looking edges too. They usually end up being NFICs but sometimes they are decent older coins. I've upgraded most of my set so I'm not too worried about upgrades at this point.

Yes, I would say even higher than your range of 80-90%. I think only about 10 times have I only found the 1 ender in a box.

I was able to go through a box of halves tonight. Along with 2 x 1964 90%'ers, I found what I believe is a 1971-D DDO FS-101. Not the cleanest coin but just randomly checked it.
