1964 Nickel CUD ?

    Looks like folded over metal. Either from a finned rim or damage.

    Yes fold over error caused by extra metal left from the punching from the plate with broken or dull punch tool. The extra metal gets pushed up by the upsetting mill then folded over during the strike. Cool error.

    Thought about sending it off. I'm still on the fence though, I'm keeping it just the same.

    It is not worth sending it in, even if it was in mint state.

    Iv'e got a few similar to that. I'm thinking it may be coin roller damage.
