New-Mexican actually  live in AZ though. Just thought I'd search for other coins edit: guess i can put my info in my profile
I am going to Play the devil's advocate 1. you don't allow machined count , I feel that any error from the mint should count. It happened while minting. 2. Why allow someone who doesn't have any coins with errors copy from someone else or off the internet. 3. Have them post a photo of the error coin. Here is two so far 1. Canadain One cent-1979 Machine doubling 2. 2008 one cent with What on it.
cheryl I don;t want this to come off as mean but it is noosts contest so he gets to set the rules requarding it.
cherylkubucko, the whole point is to learn. If someone has to do some research, then good. They will probably learn more that way. Reading some of the other posts to see if one var/error has been used already will help them to learn even more. Due to how common strike doubling is, there wouldn't really be alot of info gained. I encourage you to have your own contest. Not sure if there has ever been 3 contests at the same time here. Have a great weekend.
:hail:You too have a good weekend and I do understand what you are doing. Thanks Cheryl:smile:smile:smile:hail:
From what I know, there are actually three different levels of this doubling. "9", "79", and "979" (denotes which numbers are doubled)
