    Came up short, the auction ended while I was driving home from work.

    I always wanted a half crown, since one of my favorite movies is Christmas Carol. "Come back with the prize turkey in less than 5 minutes and I'll give you 'alf a crown!"

    In that case I would say count your blessings. The coin looks to me to have been harshly cleaned and over-dipped - thus over-priced.
