Doesn't look like an error to me unless I'm missing something.

Some environmental issues as far as I can tell. Looks kind of sand blasted. Wait for the others to chime in.

Maybe you should start off by telling us what you are seeing/referring to. I see a normal circulated cent.

I have coins with that same error. They were in the bottom of a cup holder on top of other coins and covered with coffee, diet coke, and tidbits of whatever I had for lunch during the previous month.

It is called stained, and it isn't an error, it's damage.

If you take 4 cents, lay one at the center and overlap it with 3 cents spaced 120° apart, add some coffee/coke/sunlight you'll reproduce that 'Mercedes' logo with some time. The difference between an exposed and protected surface is my guess.

One of these days I'm going to open up one of these threads of this nature and the person is actually going to have themselves a nice little find. I'm relatively new around here, so I'm sure it's happened sometime in CT's storied history........hasn't it????

I have a Mercedes logo on my Mercedes but i don't see one on that coin. I see a stain that could be perceived as similar to a Mercedes logo because they want to correlate the shape being similar to a Mercedes logo.
