New find- 1790 GB Guinea

    Got this 1790 GB Guinea from a guy want $20.00 gave him $25 because thought was gold before researching! Probably the thinnest coin I own ( 1mm) 1790.1.jpg 1790.jpg 1790.2.jpg

    I suspect a spade guinea token. What is the weight?

    Sorry, but it sure doesn’t look like gold. I’d bet it was made of brass.

    That's why I asked the weight. The tokens weigh less than 2 grams a real Guinea would I believe be around 5 grams or more.

    If it is real, NGC says it is gold with a melt value of $386.
    In good condition, worth twice that as a coin.

    Is it real, or is it Memorex?

    Memorex tested gold but lettered B.Bros.Rex.F.D.CLXX.Hockley.Birm thanks to foggy it's a plated token about $12 bucks lost my $25! thanks all
