I read something about this years ago. I know it's a longshot, but Cheech just may have something here. Supposedly back in '60, NASA had scientists work in conjunction with the US Mint in producing 24 (for lack of a better word) Super Cents , to be used in certain experiments for planned space trips. I think graphene and wurtzite boron nitride were two of the main substances utilized. I recall little else from that article other than they dated them "1961" , they were identical in weight and appearance to the normal 1961 proof cent............and 4 of the 24 went missing sometime in 1994. No big deal.....it's not like the FBI was dispatched as a result. But wouldn't it be cool to have one? They say it's nearly impossible to bend or cut these Super Cents. Maybe Cheech would like to put his cent to the test to see if it's Super?
I think I'm going to put it on ebay as such. Lol. I'll call it supermans pocket change. Thanks Lois Lane
