Authentic Fake Coin?

    This has got to be a fake, because the guy that gave me it said it was. I heard some older ancient counterfeits can be collectible too? Let me know if this is QVC/gift shop level coinage or maybe something better. Thanks again :)

    While better than some, I don't see this as rising above the replica series sometimes sold as gift shops. It might make a piece of costume jewelry but should not fool any collector beyond entry level.

    I’ve had people sell me what they thought were counterfeits that turned out to be genuine.

    What's this coin called again? I mean, the real ones?. A drachym or something close, right?

    Whoooa nice! That looks way smoother and shinier. Thank you for the post, sir.

    I can see my replica is a very poor one, the size of the head and the details on the obverse look way better on the real one
