Well gang, after one year of being on CT, I have had the pleasure of meeting some of the greatest, most passionate collectors I know - not to mention some of the smartest and funniest people as well. CT has become part of my daily activities... part of my life. My wife gets a kick when she sees me across the room smiling at the computer. She always asks what is so funny and my response is always the same... "these crazy fools!" Although at times my wife may think CT has taken over my world, it has definitely helped me become a better collector. Starting today, I must take two months off to study for a certification exam that would give me the highest credentials in my industry. My study course consists of one text book that is 600 pages long and has few pictures and really tiny text and another one that is 300 pages with even less pics. (Pictures take up space - the more pics, the less reading I actually have to do. :whistle Then there are two - 200 question practice exams on-line that I have to take. The first one is not timed, but the second one would be a timed simulation of the actual exam - the expected time to complete the exam is 4 hours! The exam is scheduled for October 3rd. After that date, I will be back on here in full force. Until then, I will be keeping an eye on everyone from a distance - especially Spock and Stainless! I cannot stay off CT completely, so you may see me pop on here or there, but usually for a quick glance to see what is going on and maybe a quick post to remind you that I am still lurking. I will still check PMs and if I get any new coins, I will probably upload the new pics to my albums. As with any amount of passed time, I will look forward to getting to know all the new members on CT and catching up with the old timers. I can't wait until October 4th! :hail: Sincerely, Joe Ceravone (jaceravone)
Look forward to seeing you back....you have my e-mail so keep in touch I wish you the best of luck on the exam stainless
He must be talking about us spock. Lol, best of luck with your exams, and I look forward to seeing you back man. :thumb: Phoenix
Very best wishes, Joe ! I hope the books you're cramming have authors named Breen, Sheldon, Bolender...
Good luck Joe! You know you will be tempted to peek in every now and then. I'm going to guess you are preparing for a CPA exam or an actuarial exam series. Wild guesses.
I have no doubt in my mind that you won't be able to go completly cold turkey...just too much temptation to sneak back and check on the shenanigans that go on around here. Work those little grey cells to the max and remember that we all await your return in October. Good luck Joe and win one for the gipper (I think that's how it goes).
Joe , best of luck , but somehow I don't think you'll need it , don't forget an occasional break refreshes the mind , and CT is great for a break , talk to you after you pass the exam . Rusty
Well here I am, first break of the night and already back on CT! :hail: You all knew I couldn't stay away for long. My brain hurts already. :desk: Thank you for all the well wishes. Man do I wish! The exam is an electrophysiology exam. I am going to save you all from the boring details, but it can possibly be compared to the CPA exam, bar exam, etc.... I can't imagine going cold turkey, but I can imagine eating one! :computer:
