Didn't see anything like this on here so want to start a post of ebayers you won't do business with anymore. Maybe it can become a sticky. Not listing reasons why due to lawyers and what not. -numismaticbureu-
I don't even remember the guy's name but he was ALSO a contributor to Redbook. Bought an 1872 Two Cent Piece off his web site as VF20. More like a VG with multiple rim dings. I had several friends and dealers look at this coin before I returned. it VERY arrogant because HE was a Redbook contributor. On a good note this quickly broke me of buying sight unseen from people I don't know.
The only real bad experience I've had was with a local coin dealer when I was a kid. He ripped me off on several purchases and basically turned me away from the hobby for decades. I don't think he'd still be alive now.
Littleton Beyond that, I don't think I can really rule anyone out. There's a local dealer that I don't trust, but I still visit his shop from time to time. (Partly because he knows I know he's full of it and tries to appease me with good prices).
And we are all grateful for that! phew, about time that they all went out of business. It is kind of like buying coins from those airline magazines.
