Welcome to CT!!! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but your coin is actually a Close AM. Notice how thin the left leg of the M is compared to it's right leg? This could be due to a worn die or grease filled die. If the left leg was it's normal width it would almost be touching the A. The other tell is the A in States. Although it is hard to see in your photo but from what I can see of it it looks closer to the T to its' right. For a WAM the A would be more centered between the Ts. As far as I know there is not a 1996 WAM variety.
Sorry for all these comments. Dont know how to delete replies to answers. Im still trying to figure this page/forum out
All I will say is that if you are so sure it is a WAM then send it in to be graded and verified by a TPG like PCGS or NGC. Then post the results here.
Now it is my turn. Those that have known me for years on multiple coin collecting websites know I am always a nice guy and do not make rude comments or use profanity at all. The fact that you are editing your comments to me does not make em right. The names you called me were uncalled for and very rude. You are also the first person EVER that has told me that I do not know what I am talking about and should go crying to my mama. To other members who see this. This is the first person I will put on my ignore list and I suggest others do as well. Please do not help this member. Not worth the effort and it will probably get multiple VERY rude replies if you disagree with what he says. Hence all his edited replies above.
I really dont give a - Edited - cuz there are so many - Edited - members on here who call themselves "coin collectors" and "numismatics" when all they really are is haters and ignorant, just like you. This page really is never worth it anyways
Well that was no way to introduce yourself to the forum now was it? Rudeness aside, your coin is not a wide AM. You clearly don't know what you're talking about and are not open to other people who don't agree with you. I will not be answering or replying to any of your further posts either. Good day.
You can't.. You need to upload it to YouTube then link it here on CoinTalk.. But what do I know? Im just a "Numismatic"
Even if your coin was a wide 'AM', which it isn't, the condition, luster and eye appeal are horrific. I'd offer 50% of face.
Numismatists. http://www.lincolncentresource.com/wideams.html That date isn't even on the list. It says all the 1994-1997 are supposed to be Wide AM
Is this the same person that keeps doing these types of posts? The language and cadence aways seem the same.
