Here is a pretty nicely struck Constantine AE3 which was struck at the Siscia Mint in the 4th century -- I think... This coin was cleaned using H2O2 and then a few mionths in olive oil.

Size in mm? if around 24mm, its RIC VIII Siscia 198, if 18-19mm, its RIC VIII Siscia 234. I'll get the dates for those tommorow for ya.

Just measured it, (shoulda done that yesterday); 22mm, but technically that makes it an AE-2 doesn't it? As you can see there is some considerable corrosion around the edges.

Tough call. Could you get a weight on it? That could clear things up. But it is definately from 348-350 AD.

Unfortunately, I can't locate my scale, LOL... It's about the same as a penny, maybe a little less at around 3gr, a very thin coin -- this is just a guess.

BTW, thanks Ziggy for the reminder to check WildWinds. I've had to go to a new computer and most of my coin links are with it (inoperative -- Battery Failure) alas...
