One of Kirk Douglas's first roles was in the great detective film "Out of the Past" with Robert Mitchum.

The film is partially set in San Francisco and Kirk Douglas was born in 1916:

Hmmm after reading about him since last night, I can only say that he probably wasn't such a great guy.

If being a rapist is why he lived so long, may everyone live a short life.

Yesterday. And good riddance. Not saying he was a bad actor. He wasn’t. Just a not good individual.

So at 103, he was clearly an awful person.

Sorry. The original coin is beautiful. Kirk Douglas was a great actor. He was also an garbage human.

Wellll.....the name of the thread could be changed to "Bashin' Kirk".

I read he was a womanizer and cheated on his wife, but I didn't know him personally. However, I did see him in a lot of movies. He was a good actor.

If you can’t say something decent about a deceased person, just move on in silence.

Read about what he did to 16 year old Natalie Wood. How it was an open secret in Hollywood.

I can say plenty. He was a scumbag like many of his generation in Hollywood. Yeah great actor but garbage human.

I guess he was a good actor. Can't say I've seen a lot of his movies. One I remember that sticks with me is: Lonely Are The Brave

I've seen a lot of Michael Douglas's movies. He's had a lot of good movies.

There were some rumors that Natalie Wood was murdered.....bashed on the head, then held under.
I wasn't there. I can't say. The police investigated. It would have been very hard to prove it wasn't an accident. Testimony from 2 very well known actors would be hard to disprove.
Ms. Wood could not tell her side.

True. That's what Mom always said.

    Sorry Willie, for the hijack.
