For those that thought I would go rampant with World Coins when I got a nice Cincuenta Centavos from Mexico, here's a little secret. I LIKE Canadian Nickels. Lots of variety. Here's a nice one from my collection. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0014-1.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0015-2.jpg Should I keep it?
I didn't know this about you. Very nice, good condition. gotta keep your eyes peeled for the 25, and far 6 (1926) variety!
Canadian coins I have an abundance of Canadian coins that I would like to trade. Drop me a line at: luskie@mi-connection.com, if interested.
Hey Clembo, is this a start to a new obssesion? One thing nice I have found about Canadian coins is the fact that I can buy them reasonably cheap local. I don't collect them persay, but I have amassed a few.
Actually been toying with them for years Viper. Same deal though. I picked a bunch up at the shop one day for a nickel each and a free Whitman to boot. Had some 20s and 30s in the mix. I like the variety.
Clembo - I think the Canadian nick looks great. It's tough being in this hobby.......one wants to collect everything!
Very nice nickel Clembo - it's a keeper... The oldest I had seen so far was a 1940 I found in a roll recently. I like the maple leaves on the back of yours!
Nice. I was thinking of going with Canadian Nickels myself. Need to get some reading materials first before I take the plunge just do not know a thing about Canadian coins.
