Coining -- The Final Product...

    Here is an easy question. :) In your opinion when during the minting process, past or present does/did the final product roll off the assembly line? What final act does the (Any Official National) Mint have to perform in-order to create a numismatic item ready for circulation.

    As soon as the hammer die goes up and the coin is ejected from the coining chamber it is a coin. The other processes are primarily QC, counting, packaging and shipping.
