I couldn't resist this and the price was right. Any white spots and/or lines are not on the coins but they are on the packaging.

Hopefully you can see Kennedys hair. Yes, this is the Accent Hair Variety and that's why it will remain in the cheap government packaging.

I did the best I could with photos

Thanks. It's difficult with just my cell phone and then there's the lighting.

You don’t need to see the hair. The I in LIBERTY is a much easier diagnostic.

What is it about the I in LIBERTY that makes it the diagnostic?

I may want to get one someday. Maybe I already have one and don't know it, 'cause I can't tell nuthin' about that hair.

Take a look at the right, upper serif. It’s much shorter than the others.

You're saying that serif is shorter than the same serif on the other non-accent hair coins?
That would definitely be a better diagnostic.
Thanks. I will study some with and some without to get used to spotting it easily.

I know that but I forgot about it as I was so excited to get one in sealed in Mint packaging. I have one but it's been removed but not this one. Thanks for the reminder. :)

So.....is it the top right serif or the bottom right or is it both?

    This is making me dizzy.

It's the bottom. Easily distinguishable as the I is not completely formed.

I've tried to get an enlargement of the I but no matter what I do it just gets blurry. This is as good as I can get. It gets blurry but you can see that area.

How about you just see it for yourself?

is the serif on the I complete, or lacking?

it looks complete from your unclear photos.

Remember... if it’s rare, you probably don’t have it. Rare means rare!

It's the real thing and Accent Hair Kennedy's are not rare.

1-3% of the proof population, amounting to 40,000 - 120,000 coins.

I have only one, and I honestly don't remember whether I cherry-picked it from an eBay photo or got it strictly by accident. Given the prevalence stat above, I probably cherry-picked it -- I haven't bought more than a dozen or so 1964 proof sets in my life, but I've checked out hundreds at least on eBay.

From the OP I thought I saw the broken serif.
But on the recent enlargement it looks intact.
