    1883? 1888?

I can post them later after I pull them out of my folder. They are not much to see. My friends and I found them in circulation and traded back and forth. The 12-D and the 12-S I traded for and probably some of the others. We would meet occasionally much like a swap meet.

This one seems to have decent detail but it's corroded.

This came in a lot of four coins that I bought for the included 1883 without cents I posted a couple days ago. IMG_8389.JPG IMG_8390.JPG

I'm no expert, but I wonder whether an altered 1895 might look the same. There's definitely damage to the date, but I don't know whether the remaining detail is enough to confirm one way or the other.

I have had that thought since I got it from my aunt 70 years ago. It still puzzles me. But, I think of it as an heirloom and will let one of my children continue the worry. Thanks for the feedback. Let me know if you come up with other thoughts. If nothing else, we can use it as a conversation piece.

@Hoky77- Do you have them in an album?

I have a Whitman that I put together 25 years ago (shy the big three). I got a hold of a Dansco a couple years ago that I am trying to complete at Au or better. I am just past a third done. I have been fond of these since finding one in our driveway when I was a child.

AU or better, nice!! I bet they look good in that Dansco. I have a complete set in a Whitman. My criteria was straight grade no damage or detailed, all letters in LIBERTY legible. I need to upgrade that 04.

I still have to pull the coins out and photo them individually. Here are some photos of my album. IMG_5834.JPG IMG_5840.JPG

That's some really extensive PMD on that poor 1905. ;)
