Amazing coins above, as per the usual! Had my heart set on this 1958 Mint Set and was very happy to win it just an hour ago and for less than I was ready to pay. Go super bowl Still buzzing. I think in my first post on this site I talked about how I was putting together mint and proof sets from this past century. Must've got sidetracked...
I’ve put together several proof sets. Can’t have much more pure fun in tracking down the right coins.
I just purchased this. It's very corroded, but I believe this is the obverse 15 only used on the 1798 NC-2. But the reverse , while similar to some, doesn't look like any 1798 reverse. Is it a new variety or a counterfeit that has been "aged" harshly?
Here are my newest, 1846 Small Date Large Cent, 1986 New York Comm. Half and a Constantine Roman Coin . I think someone removed a stamp mark on the 1846.
That was highly searched for when I was just starting out. I must have searched 10,000 cents without finding one. At the time, it was called an error rather than the die variety it is.
That's a very nice 19-S SLQ. It's exactly the look and grade I like for my long term hold SLQ collection. Recent purchase for my US type set:
