Picked this up yesterday...

My wife picked this up for me yesterday. It was in the Bargin Bin at "Borders Books" in town for $4.99. She called me and asked if I had it. When I found it was discounted I asked her to grab a copy. Hardbound with 655 pages.

What the hell? I was at Border's just yesterday, browsing through the coin section, and that book was like $30-40!!!

I am so glad I didn't buy it.

what's so special about it?
I got it for a free awhile back and a lot of the info in there (if I can remember correctly) wasn't anything new from what we talk about here.

Spider, I feel that Bowers does a great job of bringing a lot of information together into one place. For those wanting to get more in depth into the hobby and have a good overview of many of the series individually, it's got all of that. He also covers many great concepts such as how to pick coins, auction bidding, details grading, etc.

 

Great find! I always try to check the bargain bins everytime I hit the book stores.
