Sweet, those are always fun to find. I've found a few of those while working at the bank.

    What's a "red note"? I have 8 $2 bills,but they are green and say series 1976.

The "red note" $2 bills are US Notes series 1928, 1953 and 1963.

The $2 bills you have are Federal Reserve Notes which have a green seal. At one time, they made US Notes which had red seals. USNs were made in $1 (for one series), $2, $5, and one series of $100. You can occasionally still find $2 red seal notes in circulation.

Here are a couple examples of $2 red seal notes. The first is a series 1928G and the second is a 1953. Both came from circulation in the last year or so.

No, they aren't worth much but they are fun to find one. And before anyone says anything, I think all of the red seals I have found at the bank came in night drop business deposits.

I think I have found 5 or 6 of them since I started working there in October.
