Is this coin worth anything? I believe it is a 1967. A friend has it and I can't remember what year it is and the picture is kind of blurry on the date...

Looks like the rim was ground down somehow. How and Why? Only the bored person who did it would know. Sad.
This is the front of the quarter. The reason I thought it might be an error is due to the face side having no markings.
That looks like 1967. But that means nothing. There are ways that true mint errors are created. They have been established. What occurred on your Quarter cannot happen during the minting process.
