Let's see how this goes?

Double Die I know just enough to be dangerous

Still working out the kinks with my USB Microscope, but gonna put this out here anyhow. 1964 Roosevelt proof dime DDR-017.

Proofs seem to be a little tougher to capture. Will a diffuser of some sort help kill the over reflection?

How far can it zoom in, 300x or 1000x,?? If so I would love to see a real close close up.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

A diffuser may help, but you may also experiment with the angle of your lights.

With your setup, I'm not sure how much control you have over the F-stop or shutter speed, but those might also be things you can adjust to try to reduce overexposure and underexposure.

It is an inskam-307 I picked up off of Amazon with a %20 coupon. Total out of pocket was $62. It has x1000 mag but the controls are a bit limited so all my adjustments are done after the fact.

I personally use the Dino-lite Micro-scope cam. I found that the angle of the coin and the distance from the camera makes all the difference in the world. I also leave the room light off and only use the led lights on the scope. Hope this helps.

Mine is called the Dino-Lite digital microscope pro 8-leds 2010-2012 model. From Dyno Capture 2.0. If anybody would like the manufacturer/rep name information, LMK. This camera has been the answer to my life long search for coin picture taking.
