    Yeah, but if you like the theme, they can all be replicated in silver or copper I believe. Maybe not same designs, but still. Last rulers of a dynasty are just about as popular as first ones.

    Right, these rulers had Copper/ Silver/ Gold coinage of the realm. I am just posting AV coins...since I have no AR/ AE coins in my collection.

    After his son's premature death in 1623, Francesco Maria II della Rovere, Duke of Urbino, ceded his properties to Pope Urban VIII and retired to Casteldurante, where he died in 1631.

    Last Holy Roman Emperor / Franz II gave up that title due to Napoleon crushing the Austrian armies all over Europe. From 1806 on the former HRE would be known as Kaiser Franz I. Holy Roman part no more, since the French occupied all of Italy now. AV Souverain d'or 1831-A Wien Mint/ Lombardy-Venetia. They got back their Italian Territory after Treaty of Vienna 1815, and Napoleon was sent to St. Helena, to keep him from making trouble. IMG_0026.JPG IMG_0027.JPG
