Some weigh 3.1 grams, copper. Some weigh 2.5 grams, zinc. 1982 was a transition year. They switched to zinc in the later half of the year so they made both kinds that year. There are small date Philly zinc and copper. Small date Denver zinc. Large date Philly zinc and copper. Large date Denver zinc and copper.

I thought there was a fantastic (unbelievable or barely believable) story here once from a newbie (one and only thread) about some kind of box, crate or chest of old coins found in an old barn on a property they had just bought.
