    Some weigh 3.1 grams, copper.
    Some weigh 2.5 grams, zinc.
1982 was a transition year. They switched to zinc in the later half of the year
so they made both kinds that year.
There are small date Philly zinc and copper.
    Small date Denver zinc.
Large date Philly zinc and copper.
Large date Denver zinc and copper.

Waiting for the small date copper Denver
which is either a large date copper or a small date zinc.

    You forgot a few:

    It's DEFDAM - Definitely Damaged!

It looks like Die Deterioration! Worn Die Strike!

IT’S NOT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS!

I found it in my grandmothers coin jar who got it from her neighbors son who got change from 7-Eleven at the gas station every day! :wacky:

And I know Granny has had it for 30 years so it has to be real.

I don't know anything about coins, but tell me how do you know this is fake,
so I can sell it to some sucker on Ebay.

I thought there was a fantastic (unbelievable or barely believable) story here once from a newbie (one and only thread) about some kind of box, crate or chest of old coins found in an old barn on a property they had just bought.

After the members here challenged him or her on details, they kinda just disappeared. It was fun while it lasted though. :hilarious:

Sorry @Juggalo didn't mean to hijack your thread.
