1938-D Buffalo D/D?

    Looking at some pics when the mm looked odd. Is this a RPM?

    Clearer photos would help. Red Book does not list a 1938 D/D but The Cherrypicker's guide only lists D/S, but none look like your blurry photo. Please repost clear in focus photos of the MM for more opinions.

    There not a d/d But it does look like rpm 002. But the picture are blurry!

    I attempted to enlarge your MM but still it is difficult to tell exactly what you have.

    Any larger and it pixelates.

    There is a 1938 d over d where the mint mark was punched in twice. Looks like the OP’s coin might be a bingo.

    @Santinidollar Reference please. I have several Buffalo Nickel reference books and for the year 1938, only a D/S is listed. The 1937 has a D/D.

    It looks promising. I think I can make out the inner arch of the D.
