1985 quarter

    What is the line on the left side of front of quarter? It's only that side as seen in pics. It's a lil off stamped to but what is the line? 20200119_201555.jpg 20200119_201637.jpg CM200119-201056003.jpg

    I also thought that. But I think the question is more about the rim.

    Yeah the rim paddyman98. It's the ok only side like that. The rim is really thin on one side then thicker with the line through it. Sorry for all the coins that arnt nothing I'm posting. I'm new to this and have a heck of a collection of coins so I'm trying to figure all this out. Thanx yall

    I see the "double-like" rim, I think it is a loose collar which allowed for the second "hit" creating the line. On the interior the circular lines look like - as said - a coin rolling machine mark.

    If you mean the rim it's a die strike issue from a worn out tired Die. If you mean the circular patten that's damage from a coin rolling machine.
