    I recommend to NOT collect any zincoln (1982 to current) cents until you learn a lot more. Just put them all aside for a few years.

    Yes, set them aside and watch as they slowly disintegrate!

    Realtalk though, I don't really foresee Zincolns to ever become valuable in any sense of the word (excepting, of course, MS70 grades and error varieties)

    since the mint mark at this time is on the die/hubs and not stamped by hand, then all the cents are the same. Thus the D should be in the same location as other same year cents.

    plus, I don't know why you are disregarding all the other damage, marks etc all around that area ? Looks like there are two more Ds and the lower right shoulder tip and below it to the left. ironically, some zinc rot tends to have a center that drops and such making it look like an O or D like at the base of the first 9 ...
