I just gave you the answer a few posts back.
If you put it in your safe it would vanish when you check in 20 years :yack:

If you put it in a safe with other coins, put it in a sealed container by itself as chemical reactions could continue and possibly damage other undamaged coins.

No! No! No! It might infect other coins. Do you have an isolation chamber? ~ Chris

Rodney, your photos are coming out blurry because you are trying to take photos while holding the coin. You should lay the coin on a flat surface and take the photos from directly overhead. It is preferable to use a copy stand or tripod to stabilize the camera if you are using a conventional camera. I don't use a phone camera, but there are others here who do. I'll let them chime in with suggestions for them.

Experiment coin. Someone put a drop of acid on it. The acid ate away down to where you can see the reverse design...imo

Penny's like this should be given a decent burrial at the beach and then let some retired old fut with a metal detector find it and add it to his collection of rusted bottle caps.

It looks to me like an adhesive of some sort. The remnants of the shield showing on Lincoln are most likely because two cents were glued together and the glue came off on this one. The damage on the other side looks like just corrosion. That having been said, the pictures are still not terribly clear. Spark1951 said an acid hole, which is much more likely if what we are looking at is a hole. I took it to be raised above the normal surface, but I can't be sure.

I also said adhesive. Though Op said it absolutely is not. That being said, Op plans to keep this coin in a safe for 20 years because...idk...so I'm not sure I trust them lol.

...after looking at it again, I’m backtracking on my acid guess. BUT...a second coin transferred the reverse onto the OP obverse somehow. I’m now guessing pressed together and corrosion finishing...if we could tell, I think the shield is pattern reversed, not any kind of reverse die strike onto the obverse...Spark

Many new members focus on a value of their coin when they should be learning the basics. Get a Yeoman RedBook and read everything at doubleddie.com, especially how dies are made and worthless doubling.

You posted an extremely corroded, damaged cent. First glance tells you there is no value. It’s just a crappy zincoln that the environment or experiment ruined...Spark

Only one cent. Don't worry about value. If it were that easy there would be no valuable coins. If it looks like damage, it probably is damage.
