How many people do you know have put together a birth year set and have included gold coins, example such as someone born in 1932 and they made a full year set which includes one cent all the way up to the $20 gold piece.
Nary a soul in my book, but I am putting a birth year set together for my grandson (2017) albeit, without the gold.
My birth year set is complete, business strikes and proofs (1941). -- the cents are MS-66 RD and PF-65 RD -- the nickels are MS-65 FS and PF-66 -- the dimes are MS-65 FB and PF-65 -- the quarters are MS-65 and PF-66 -- the half dollars are MS-65 and PF-66 and PF-65 The 1941 proof half dollars came in two varieties; with the designer's initials (AW) and without the designer's initials. And I am also doing a birth year set of world coins. I won't complete that set since there are some high priced item. For instance, Vatican City issued 5 gold coins in 1941 and they are VERY pricey.
Let me know if anyone is working on a 1933 year set. I have a few rolls of '33 double eagles I might be persuaded to pick out a nice coin for you.
I have a friend that put together a full 1909 proof set together for the year his dad was born. Both types of cents to half dollar.
