Rare token for sale on the bay! Pretty beatup and scuzzy lookin', but maybe someone gives a care. Dancing Bears, the ones in good condition will bring good money. Talk about scuzzy, look at the Heritage link below! This one, who knows! https://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-1850-...748992?hash=item2f3bccee40:g:8lYAAOSwMi5eC9jS https://www.icollector.com/Impressi...-California-1850-Dated-California-G_i31189073 https://coins.ha.com/itm/territoria...token-corroded-ncs-good-details/a/1114-3474.s
It bidded up almost $50 since I started this thread, it's in sorry condition but these are ultra rare and someone would want it, even in that condition! What's really something is the Heritage link above! That one was in worse condition and the seller was asking for $1300, it didn't sell. Here's mine, I'd sell mine if the right price, came along! Nice "L" mint mark on mine under the right side bear!
How do I know the EBay coin is real? Gold doesn't really tarnish much. And cleans up very easily. Not the kind of coin/token I would buy raw. The color difference between that coin and your photos are drastic, between brown and gold.
No, none of these Tokens are gold at all. They only sell for big money because they're rare, very rare. The link below says they're made of gilt copper. https://forums.collectors.com/discu...have-arrived-1850-california-gold-mines-token https://coinweek.com/auctions-news/...est-coast-coin-auction-lots-you-need-to-know/
