Santa Cruz Coin Club: M/A, 33mm, 5.7 grams, antiqued bronze. Medal celebrates the club's 25th annual meeting. It also pays tribute to the landmark Branciforte Grammar School. So, how funny is it that they spelled it Grammer on the medal?

printers, sign painters and engravers/ die sinkers are some of the worlds worst spellers. One of the sign painting magazines had a monthly column on them and did a yearly issue devoted to it.
Hope every one has a safe and happy new year!

There's a good for token from Minnesota that goes like this:
    SPREEK CREEK / STORE / [decorative] /SPRINGCREEK / MINN.
Man, I'd love to get one of those. :)

Never knew this thread existed!! Here's a few that I have... I am from Utah and love collecting Mormon history/Utah history related items. I have a bunch of Utah merchant tokens that I will get around to listing sometime. B40AA3AD-F928-4AED-9F00-3D1C022B61DE.jpeg 5AA7041C-417C-4DC5-B985-E49C2166F09A.jpeg

This was actually my Father’s token, given to him by his father when he made Tenderfoot rank. He remembers carrying it in his pocket for a short period. This would be in the early 1960’s.

I like your Alaska Yukon Pacific Expo SCD. I have the medal, but it's condition is nowhere near as nice as yours.
