Your photos are to unfocused to properly see the coin. Usually if a copper coin is Pink that means it has been cleaned with a mild acid of some kind.
Shucks! Too bad it wasn't a purple one, as I get a kick out of reading the flurry of posts when one of those hits the board. I'm not up on my colors, but isn't pink kind of an off color or on the same family tree as the color purple?
blurry but looks cleaned, probably a salt bath, it will make it look pink, weird the reverse doesn't look pink
...try putting a spender zincoln in a ketchup bath...the acid levels will turn the color of the cent to a pinkish hue and remove most of any luster. Purple colors are acidic damage too...toning equals environmental damage, some is natural and has eye appeal, whereas some toning appears un-natural and is obviously artificial. It’s basically whatever floats your boat, personally, over-the-top, egregious toning is not pretty and I wouldn’t buy one using anybody’s money...jmho...Spark
