First 2020 ancient coin give-away

I haven't seen an ancient coin give-away for a while so I thought I'd start the new year with one. Remember ... this is for new collectors only.

Here's the coin: It's a silver (AR) Tetradrachm of Elagabalus issued in Antioch:

Obv: AVT K M A ANTWNEINOC CEB ; Laureate head right
Rev: DHMARX EX YPATOC TO B; Eagle standing facing, head left, holding wreath in its beak; Δ - Ε across upper fields

Has some deposits on the lower reverse, but I think it'll clean off with a good soak

I don't think FFIVN or I qualify as new collectors since we are now starting our 2nd year of collecting.
Just wanted to give a shout out to you for an awesome give away and to say what a beautiful coin it is!

Well then I'd like to enter FFIVN in the contest. He doesn't have an Elagabalus nor does he have a tetradrachm.

 

Second year of collecting coins or just ancients? Sorry for the specific question; I just don't want to enter under wrong circumstances.

I find the coin perfectly acceptable and would love to add it to my collection which has gone on for over 50 years but never included a silver Tetradrachm of Elagabalus issued in Antioch If you enter me, please save me the postage and send it directly to FFIVN to whom I would entrust it for safe keeping. With a little cleaning, this could be the best give-away I have seen here.

That's incredibly kind of you Doug. Mrs. FF just wanted me to let you know that you made her cry. Not 100% sure it isn't post-baby hormones or if it is just because she is someone who is known to cry during Hallmark movies...and a Toyota commercial a few years ago. She says "This forum is single-handedly saving my faith in humanity."
