1909-S VDB AU55 I had been looking for a MS52/MS63 but really liked this AU55. I have read many times to not always go based off the label and I like my other coins, I went with what appealed to my eyes. I can always add a MS62/MS63 down the road should I so desire. Im just ecstatic to have this cent in my collection!
Am I the only one that likes a nice brown? I just love the look of a brown cent. I think all of my coins are brown except for a 1910-S that is MS63RB.
I decided I wanted better than the 1914-D VF20 and there is a pretty big jump in price from XF to AU so I picked up this XF45 today.
This is the 1950 I got today. Sorry not the best imaging, just my junky phone camera. This was labeled as an AU, mis-strike. I also like the fact that the LI in liberty is essentially not there. Probably greased. Which makes me think perhaps another 1950 or two may have a dropped letter somewhere. I have been looking at this and actually am thinking this is not Au, but actually uncirculated. I am not really seeing wear on high points and think the coin simply gives the impression that it had to have wear on the outer edges. What do you all think?
