    How can that be only MS 61? What horrible thing am I missing? It looks much better to me.

    Edit: And maybe I should be scouring all the low MS and high AU to see if I can fit one into my budget. For a rare key date, there seem to be a zillion of them available on all web sites.

    I believe this is one of the harder S mints to find in this shape. Great coin.

    Picked up this SMS cent. Wild octagon shaped toning on the left side of the obverse. The toning is rounded on the right side. Love them rainbows! Shoddy cell phone pictures to follow.

    It has me scratching my head.

    The only way I see that possible is if the UNUM part of a coin broke off and got trapped - since the wording is reversed. The lines appear to be under the UNUM, displaced metal?
