    @Duke Kavanaugh I found one for you.
    PCGS Guide is $650.
    This one sold in Dec 2018 at Heritage and Aug 2019 at GC.
    What did it bring at each venue?
    One point for GC price and one for HA price.

    @Duke Kavanaugh was very close to the $1,181.25 price at GC while @thomas mozzillo was the first to be closest to the $588 Heritage price. The GC photo being better helped this coin, but it still seemed to under-perform at HA. Whoever won it at Heritage seems to have done well.

    Fun fact: this thread started in July 2017 and will be almost 2.5 years old. Let's keep it going into 2020. :)
    Happy New Year everyone! :cool::D:)

    It sold for $1050 at Great Collections, the price stated included buyers fees. Does one need to include buyers fees into the guess? @ddddd

    Yes I've always included the buyer fee since that is what the final price is to the buyer. One can also debate with GC if we should use the 10% buyer fee (for non-CC) or 12.5% (for credit card); I choose to go with the one GC quotes in their archives (12.5%) as that is the default and we don't know what payment method was used. Shipping is not included as that is not possible to calculate (depends on number of items bought/service chosen/insurance/etc).

    @dddd If it is debatable then I would think the price should exclude the buyers fees because of the reasons you gave. It takes little effort to research a coin when the certification number is included in the post. JMHO

    It's debatable to include it or not, so I chose to include it (like I have since the beginning of the thread since the price shows up with the b.p. in the archives).

    As far as the price being easy to find, that is true. However it's all for fun and we assume that everybody guesses before looking up the result (or doesn't guess if they know the result).

    Thank you for the clarification @dddd I wasn't around when the post started, I did guess before I researched the coin. I am a regular customer at GC and I always look at the hammer prices as a reference because of the difference in buyers fees in different auction houses.

    :banghead::banghead::banghead:.
    I missed this one. :(

    FYI...
    It's not too hard to find a toned coin to post here.
    Simply look at completed sales at any venue, (heritage, eBay, etc...) get the info and pic, then post it here.
    As long as it's not for profit, there shouldn't be any problems with this.
    Try to have one ready to go here in case you win.
    Not a rule, but is only fair to dddd, as he is the person that usually ends up searching for something to post here, which removes him from contention.

    BTW, I was asked about this, and wanted to let folks know how we do it.

    Happy New year. :)

    PS:
    does this mean we all have 20/20 vision now. :wideyed:

    @Duke Kavanaugh here is a Morgan.
    PCGS Guide is $55 (sales of 62s tend to be lower though-closer to $30-$45).

    What did this one sell for recently? (Note: price includes buyer's fee).

    Nice toning, but those pictures looks very doctored (or perhaps just lots of lights) to lighten up the color.
