What do you think? Printing error on back?

Cool bill and story. That makes 2 people who made a profit off of a donation.

Really? I see damage. Take it out of the plastic sleeve.

I have my doubts about it being genuine. The face plate is in one of the F positions. I cannot read the number but none of the F positions are on the bottom of the page. If this were in the middle of the page as the F position letter indicates the back should show the impression of the note below instead of being partly blank.

Agree with lettow but for a different reason - it doesn't pass the eyeball test to me. The plate position thing just reinforces my first visual impression.

That note is way over board, the reverse is so out of wack, it would be
Tough sale for me to think its authentic, just take it to the bank
If they give you change great, if they call the cops, maybe not...LOL

Curious error. I would like to see better scans/photos...maybe with better lighting and with the note out of the sleeve. And, when posting the photos, click on Full Size Image instead of thumbnail.

How could the print have been that far off ... ? And only on one side?

The printing was fine. The paper alignment for the 2nd printing was off. Both sides are not pribtwd at the same time.

I believe the second (and third) printing are fine. The first printing is the one that is off. Isn't the "back" of the note printed first?

Yes, back first, front second and overprint third.

That looks like a nice error.
The condition tells me this circulated for a while before someone
pulled it, which is quite interesting.

Yeah, the average cashier has probably never seen an example like that. "Sorry sir, I cannot accept this note.."
