Hello all. My grandfather gave my brother and I his collection of coins and it has started my newfound obsession with shiny round objects. Anyways, I am obviously very new to this and know very little. He collected a bunch of coin rolls when the new quarters were released. I started picking through the roles for the key dates that I found online. I found this Wyoming quarter and I wanted to know if it is something special or not (Look at the area where the hand is grasping the saddle). I haven't seen an error (if that's what this is) like this online, but I knew if it was common someone on here would likely know. Sorry I don't have a microscope. The pictures were taken with my phone. Thank you in advance for any input. -Jed 20181110_013527.jpg 20181110_013629.jpg

There are some Doubled Dies associated with the saddle horn, I am not sure if this is one, as I don't collect them. It looks like it could be a DDR, It could be well placed die chips or IDB.

looks like damage to me... something hit your coin and caused those dings and pushed up some metal....

Hard to tell from the photo but it looks like 1 small raised dot. It's an odd place but if so it could be a die chip.

Unfortunately I think you are right. It was late at night and I may have just gotten excited haha. Looking at it closer today I think it may be simply damage. Bummer I thought I had found something cool. Thanks again to all for the input. The search continues

I too have a Wyoming State Quarter with possible doubling on the obverse side. Mine is Delaware though. Could somebody tell me if the obverse side is doubling or not? Thank you.

Suggestion. Start a separate unique thread.

The doubling is most likely a worn die issue.

Need another thread. Any doubling is NAV doubling.
