A few weeks ago, a thread was started or included talk about the Texas comm series. I have always liked this coin series, but could never find one at a decent price. So I have kept my eyes open and I finally found one. Coin is in hand. Comments welcome. Could possibly become one of my favorite coins.

Awesome, absolutely love the Texas commem. Now if only I could find a value like U did or some xtra money 2 get one. hahaha I did hear the prices are going down for commems though, maybe if I wait long enough:eek:hya:

I like the obverse but the reverse is so detailed that it is better suited for a coin the size of a trash can lid.

    Congrats on a nice purchase.

    Good for you.
    Nice commem.
I've been trying for a while to get one (or more), but always find them overpriced.
But your success will keep me trying.

Who are the two gentlemen depicted on this coin? Those Buffalos are really outstanding!I found the answer on Google. The reverse has medallions of Sam Houston & Stephen Austin. I assume the cities were named after them?
