A few weeks ago, a thread was started or included talk about the Texas comm series. I have always liked this coin series, but could never find one at a decent price. So I have kept my eyes open and I finally found one. Coin is in hand. Comments welcome. Could possibly become one of my favorite coins.
Awesome, absolutely love the Texas commem. Now if only I could find a value like U did or some xtra money 2 get one. hahaha I did hear the prices are going down for commems though, maybe if I wait long enoughhya:
I like the obverse but the reverse is so detailed that it is better suited for a coin the size of a trash can lid. Congrats on a nice purchase.
Good for you. Nice commem. I've been trying for a while to get one (or more), but always find them overpriced. But your success will keep me trying.
Bone your link took me on a nice little trip , to when you revealed you were the "CoinGuy" or something similar , had me LOL though .:smile:hatch::hammer: :hail::whistle: rzage
That is one sweet looking coin! I not too long ago added this commem to my want list. Hope I end up with one like yours.
the buffalo came out you wont be needing this anymore rather than spend it for half a dollar i propose you send it to me i will get it slabbed and put a little comment (35$) a gift from joe and the coin will become immortal with the owner
It's darn near my favorite commem, I got mine at the ANA worlds fair in Denver 2 years ago and still wish i could buy more of them.
Your not that crazy yet.... at least your not selling off your collection. When you do though, drop me a pm! hya:
my coins start at 10 grand send a deposit fee to get a token to get in line ( ill accept the Texas commem)
Who are the two gentlemen depicted on this coin? Those Buffalos are really outstanding!I found the answer on Google. The reverse has medallions of Sam Houston & Stephen Austin. I assume the cities were named after them?
