Sharp details and decent fields. Looks like a liberated coin that was returned to service and took on some circulation damage. You got to it early, so an AU coin retaining a lot of it's character. One to save perhaps. Not worth too much as you can get a clean specimen for under a dollar. But a very nice circulation find.

It looks normal to me. What are you seeing?

...evidence of circulation: wear on steps 4,5,6 and contact marks under MONTICELLO between FIVE CENTS. I totally agree with @Kevin Mader ...Spark

I'm using my camera on my phone and the end of a led flashlight. Mind you the cap off of the flashlight actually magnifies it a good bit. I could have swore that it has doubling on the reverse.

...where on the reverse? Can you post a close-up of the area? Can you tell us?

Reflections from glare can mimic doubling. Is it in the lettering or elsewhere?...from your other pics I have to agree with @Collecting Nut ...it looks like a very well preserved but normal nickel...Spark

I'm still not seeing anything but any doubling you see may be from the lighting. It's also called NAV or No Added Value Doubling. To me, it looks normal.
