    Hi!

I have not seen this coin in hand, but wondered out of the photos what you think of this Draped Bust 1807 Half Dollar?

I think it looks like a nice looking coin, perhaps a VF20..? It is not graded, but seems authentic to me..?

    Thanks!

Nice coin that served it's purpose, and still managed to survive in a decent collectable condition.
My guess is VF for grade.

I’m at VF-25 to 30...would be surprised if it is outside that range when grade by top tier TPG. Looks authentic. I have not looked at other opinions, just for the record.
Edit: switched out options for opinions.

O-105, R1, common die marriage, if you're interested. See the diagnostic chip at 1 o'clock on the reverse.

Looks real to me. VF30 if it isn't cleaned (and I see no evidence that it is, but I admit I'm bad a detecting such unless it is blatantly obvious and very harsh). Nice one; I'd be ecstatic to have it.

VF-30. Many 1806 and all of the 1807 Draped Bust Half Dollars were struck with shallow dies which limited some of the finer design details. The surfaces say “Choice VF” to me.

Hey, try the grading guide @ PCGS. com. I think you will be pleasantly surprised: the reverse looks like a good match for their XF40, the obverse for VF35, maybe XF. I’ve got three ‘07 draped busts, including a really nice one for my Dansco year set, but yours is nicer. I’m jealous!

Not an XF, but it’s a very nice and original VF30.
