That's what I'm hoping for, with the price! :D

Once it sells, then I'll have to find another one for my collection. ;)

How about a nice run-of-the-mill 1799 S-188? :D I can't believe how much those little gals are going for! I really picked the wrong thing to collect and have any money left over. :mouth: But the one that really gets me is the 1793 Chain Cent and I want one of those really-really-really-really bad!!!! :hammer:

My S-188 could use upgrading, if it didn'tcost an arm and a leg. So right now I'm having to make do with my dateless one. For the Chain cent I need an ugly low grade S-1. I watxhed one in Fr-2 with a hole in it go for $1,100 about a week and a half ago and seriously considered going for it. And I attributed a nice smooth BS-1 for someone else that was being sold unattributed two or three months ago. (Auction house couldn't attribute it. It was easy, clear as day if you knew what to look for.) It went for $1,800. If I can find my S-1 though, I'll have all four chain cents.

There's an S-3 on Ebay that could be had for a reasonable price (considering it's a Chain Cent) and could be used to trade? :D

I had another 1800/1798 come in yesterday that doesn't appear to be either a S-190 or 191, so it's either a NC-5 or 6. The stems look a little different but that could be due to the corrosion, because other than the stems, it looks to be another NC-6. :D However, I don't have a pic of a NC-5 to compare against so I'm not sure which it is at this time. :headbang:

Ps: I've already sent pics to Bob but he's out of pocket this weekend so I haven't heard back from him yet but I will post his reply when it comes in.

The new one is a NC-6. The fraction bar on a NC-5 is shorter so I've sent it off this morning to Bob Grellman, for him to officially attribute, then I will sell it too. :D

I also sent him my 1846 BHC N-10, since it's a very late die state, which brings a premium, and he knows peeps that want it. :D

    Handsome, congratulations: twice NC varieties!!

But why are you intent on selling them? As a large cent collector, If i had the good fortune to find such rare varieties, i think that i would keep them.

It's like a friend of mine said last night, if I keep on finding 1800/1798 NC-6's, I'll end up turning a R-7 coin into a R-6 coin and they won't be worth as much. So they are worth more now and I'm taking advantage of it. :D

Plus, I'm betting I'll find another one for me, to include a few other NC dates. I'm a NC magnet.

Now I have to do it a third time. :D I know that if I can do that, I can finally be crowned King NC Hunter.

Ps: It takes a lot of time and effort to find just one, so it isn't as easy as it may look. ;)

Sorry, I don't check my PM's too often here. They don't make it real obvious that you have one and I tend to forget about them and not check it. (I also don't get to this forum every day either, but I was here yesterday.)

    I sent you a reply. Let's negotiate.

I have my settings set to send me an email notifying me of any PM's. If it weren't for that, I'd never respond to a PM cause I never look to see if I have any. :D

Emails probably wouldn't help me too much. I usualy download them every day or two and go through them while I'm offline. Even if I got the notice I probably wouldn't remember whenever I got back to the forum.

Don't feel bad, Toad. I've been after Conder for a copy of his book for a few years now, and he's never responded to me either. ;)

He probably ran out of lead in his pencil and it's twenty miles to the nearest store and his buggy's got a blown axle, so you just have to be patient. ;)
