Roll of walking Liberty Halves I picked this half roll of Walking Liberty Halves the other day. They are in decent shape, thinking AU-BU. A couple of them have a little rim damage and small scratches, I haven't looked at them with my loupe. The half roll of twenty contained 10 (1944 P's), 6 (1941 P's) 2 (1945 P's) and two (1942 P's). Looks like higher minatage dates. I paid $225.00, no shipping , tax included because its from a local source. That's about $11.25 per coin.Probably not the best pic's, Good Deal or bad deal?
If most are Unc a good deal , anyways the way they are melting these they could go up in the future , & by your picks are beautiful coins that people will always want . rzage
In today's market, they are probaly worth about $12-13 each, but in tomorrows world, who knows they could easily be $20 each very soon. I'd say good deal. $225 is not too much to invest for a no brainer. Good buy! :kewl:
20 coins is a full roll, looks OK, but pics are iffy. Sliders are probably not good if silver goes way up, then they become junk silver, but you can't sell them for junk. I like what I see, but I dislike the roll for an investment, JMO !
Twenty half dollars is a full roll, not a half roll. And $11.25 per coin is probably a fair price if the coins are really as nice as you think (ie several MS60+ and the rest AU50+). But how confident are you in your ability to grade the details of these coins and diagnose any problems (ie scratches, cleaning, dipping, etc) they may have?
Not the best at grading however I think the worst one is in at least EF 40. Even if half of them make it to AU-50 according to the redbook i've got my money back and then some.
