Since I can't tell if it is 5 or more full steps from your image, I'm guessing it is worth at least 5c.

That's a very nice looking nickel.
It appears to be mint state which does have value. A keeper.
Try not to get fingerprints on it, or clean it.

Thanks I really appreciate it, any idea what it’s worth would be?

It's a nice looking nickel but it's not a FS so despite the fact it has not circulated much it is only worth face value.

Nicer picture but that bottom step is half missing.

Both the 1982 P & D are desirable coins in higher grades. The 1982 D lists in my current Numismatic News price guide, and it's only a guide, at $14.00 in MS65. Full steps would be more desirable but this is not one with FS. Very nice condition. I'll let others try to grade this.

Very, very few are FS. Hence the premium for them.
    My best CRH is AU50

Nope! Not a bit! All you've done is enlarge your existing image. It still doesn't show the bottom steps.

In MS USA coin book shows $2- $6.
It's not full steps and even $6 is high.
It may be worth a dollar or 2 to a collector.
It's a difficult market. A coin dealer doesn't want it. You would have
to do the leg work yourself to find someone who wants it, and then
if you are only getting a dollar out of it, it may not be worth the time, effort and money involved. Personally, I just put it in a 2x2 and label it and save it.

1982 D are desirable. The above coin may go for about $25.00. If the porch is counted as a step, this is a 5 step coin. The broken bottom lines are beneath the actual block of steps. The block of steps shows 5 steps. If graded as a 5 stepper, MS 64, it would be $35.00, at MS 65 FS, $55.00. As for it being 5 steps, get more opinions. As for now, keep the coin. Nice coin the cheek looks pretty clean.

I believe all 5 steps are there just hard to tell by picture. But will have to double check when I have the coin in hand.

A big thanks to all of you for taking the time to talk to me about it. I appreciate all of it.

If there is any break at all, it shouldn't be full steps.
If it were to grade full steps, then there is good value there.
