Thats odd, I was under the impression that the largest denomination note ever printed was the $10,000 Small Size and $10,000 Gold Notes??

Yes, it is the novelty one, but it's also the proto type. To my knowledge there's only one in existance. I have the original folder and a copy of the lawsuit that accompanied the origination of this concept.

Yeah--as a general rule, anything that comes packaged in a fancy printed informational folder is a novelty/gimmick, not a prototype. Prototypes are more likely to come in plain envelopes with cryptic handwritten notes that don't go very far toward explaining what the thing in the envelope actually *is*....

I never believed the $1.000,000 note story the OP proposed.

That Dubya $1,000,000,000 9-11 note makes me sick just to think about it.

Without going in to too much of defense mode on this, I juss thought you'd all like to see what the original note looked like. And when I said the proto type, I meant it. This was the first bill off the press. All others are following the concept of a million $ bill but check out the differences. You'll quickly see that there's no comparison. you won't find another jacket like this one either. To my knowledge they were all destroyed but this one. I was a member of IAM at the time who originated the bill. IAM . . . does any body out there know what it stands for? Look on my bill and you'll see it printed.

    OP:

I think you have some of us confused as to what you mean by "prototype".

Are you suggesting that this particular note with serial number 1024574 was the prototype for this particular novelty note?

Do you mean that the $1,000,000.00 note produced by the IAM was the first of the novelty million dollar bills and is therefore the prototype of the other novelty notes?

The IAM note was very nicely done. It is intaglio printed and has a number of security features. However, it was a novelty note when it was created and it is still a novelty note.

There is nothing rare about them. Despite your claims to the contrary, they were not all destroyed as they are still available from the IAM on their website (http://www.i-a-m.ws/bill.htm).

There is also nothing impressive about the IAM. For the uninitiated, it is the International Association of Millionaires. Don't be fooled by the title. You do not have to be a millionaire to join. In fact, I am eligible to join as I meet the qualification of possessing one of the original $1,000,000.00 notes.

Did I pay $75.00 for it (the current sales price from IAM)? I did not even pay $.75 for it. It was in a lot of miscellaneous world notes that I paid about $20.00 for.
