191214_155225.jpg 191214_174104.jpg Two Questions, Is this a star 58? and is there supposed to be a design or lettering on the edge?
I cannot find any edge on images to compare, I know ther is a 50 PTAS with lettering, very desirable, but cannot seem to find any edge info on the 25s .

The star with the 58, is the year it was struck .

Kind of, 58 is specific to 1957 from what I gathered on NGC.

Thid edge has completely worn, I can not make out any thing close to Una granda libre.

Was the edge lettering raised or recessed? I'm assuming raised.

I guess you cant see edge lettering in a slab. I wish I could find a pic of a nice edge.

I believe these are dated 1957 on the obverse but the actual date the coin was minted is inside the star. Mine has a 58 in the star on the reverse so was struck in 1958 even though the obverse says 1957. Polish_20191214_221555694.jpg

Edit: Maybe that is a 68 on my coin...meaning struck in 1968...

See how my coin edge? Even as worn as it is, that UNA libre and stars couldn't turn into dots. ??

Mabe the letters got mashed in circulation and now are blobs of metal and not discernable as the letters. There are also stars between the words that could be PMDed....

But if you mash a star it doesn't turn into a perfect circle. It turns into a flower.
