Is this a ddo

I was just wondering if this is a type of ddo.

Machine doubling.

 

I'm having the same issue, Is there a thread with examples of double die vs machine doubles?

 

The doubled die coins from the multiple squeeze era, were squeezed with the same pressure, it just happened the 2 squeezes were not exactly aligned. So the doubling when seen should be about the same height ( depth of the squeezing)and not one raised and the other flat.

Yes flat step on MD . DD is a double strike, correct?

Doubled Die..

 

Thnx for link Paddy, not double struck. Hubbing process error. The actual die has the error.

 

For some reason I'm unable to upload pictures suddenly. I've tried restarting everything???Off to support.

 

And don't ask about single squeeze modern coins as they only have a single hubbing. So whatever.
